Abstract
The health system in Kosovo is a flow system designed to be managed at 3 levels of health care. Management systems are divided into primary, secondary and terciary (Kosovo Assembly, 2004). According to KDI (2011) functional health insurance systems are a must to enhance the quality of health services. Since 2011 it has been tried to create drafts to implement health insurance but still without success (FES, 2018). The purpose of this research is to assess the need for health insurance in Mitrovica and also to assess the satisfaction of citizens of this municipality with health services and system.
